Callantsoog is a small village located on the North Sea. John and I stopped here after dropping my parents off at the Amsterdam airport. It was pretty empty when we got there, about 10 AM, and by the time we left at 2 PM, the village was packed with day trippers.
Here's a view of the town from a dune and a picture of a 16th century church.
John and I managed to dip our tootsies in to the North Sea. Now my tootsies have been in the Atlantic ocean, Pacific ocean, Mediterranean Sea, and the North Sea.
And finally, a picture of the really nice beach. There were quite a few little places to get some snacks and drinks on the beach.
I moved to Groningen, Netherlands November 8. I hope to blog about my experiences going dutch. Feel free to comment and let me know what you would like to see more or less of. Please let me know if you'd like to get automatic emails every time I update the blog.
